La Fromagerie in London
By Marie Joubert
Life without cheese is inconceivable to the Avago team. That’s why La Fromagerie tops our must-visit London list.
Stylish and unconventional, La Fromagerie is recognised as one of the finest cheese shops in England frequented by some of London’s best chefs. For us the dazzling array of delectable cheeses combined with a comfortable, just dropped-in atmosphere makes it a delightful spot to indulge our little addiction.
Worth the trip alone is the signature walk through the dedicated cheese room. La Fromagerie has perfected the French art of affiniage, the process of maturing cheeses to further develop its taste and texture. Farmhouse cheeses are sourced directly from independent producers all over England and Europe and once delivered are carefully matured to ensure every morsel sold is ripened to perfection and as flavoursome as can be.
In addition to the world of cheese awaiting you, La Fromagerie offers artisan breads, charcuterie, carefully sourced seasonal produce and fine wines. If you wish to linger longer (which we do) take a seat at the huge communal table or perch on one of the benches and sample superb cheese plates and seasonal salads from the kitchen.
La Fromagerie is located on Moxon Street, just off Marylebone High Street in central London. You can pop in for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and pre-theatre supper. Go on, add it to your list.
